Answer: Yes. Holding a valid Transport Canada Basic Operations Certificate is a fundamental prerequisite for moving into the Advanced certification stream and for enrolling in our Advanced Pilot Refresher Course, as it ensures a base level of regulatory knowledge.
Answer: You are encouraged to bring your own drone equipment and controller if you plan to use it professionally. However, if you are new or don’t have suitable gear yet, we provide the necessary enterprise-grade drone platforms (DJI Enterprise, Agras, etc.) and training equipment for all practical flight sessions.
Answer: Our training sessions, including the Flight Reviews, are typically held at certified operational sites around the Manitoba region that meet Transport Canada airspace requirements for advanced operations. Specific locations will be confirmed upon booking to ensure the best environment for your specific mission workflow training.
Answer: Upon successful completion of the Advanced Pilot Refresher Course, you receive an official Certificate of Completion from Vantage Drones, documenting your reviewed skills and proficiency. If you utilize the Flight Review service, the necessary official documentation will be submitted directly for your Transport Canada Advanced Pilot Certificate application.
